I saw this video of incarcerated African Brothers setting off marches inside a prison and immediately penned this. Farrakhan's words at the end of the song are so fitting when addressing the current situation with Kaepernick and the NFL players sitting down to stand up for us that I dedicate the song to the Mizzou players that took "The First Stand" and the NFL Players that continued the charge for change. Thank you all for showing us how REAL MEN stand for what they believe in. Words over Water...from Africa to America and back again... This is #RBG101
lyrics
We're reppin that Red, Black and Green
Fresh as can be
when I show up with my family tree
See you cannot kill what belongs God
only Hurt physical things
So bring your machines
Knowing damn well we were built to survive everything
First on this earth and will remain until the last predator leaves
RB and G
til’ the day I D I E
Red, Black and Green
You thought that you could put an end to us
Make us kill ourselves by offending us
But u did not understand that
When you put us in the ground we become the seeds
that bloom into colorful trees that have always outnumbered the weeds
That Red Black and Green
The children of substance and sunlight
We are what God’s really done right
And with that same light we see
our eyes become opened and clean
Exposing all enemies
As that Red Black and Green
flag flies high over everything
that Red, Black and Green
Hey!
You might kill me but
You cannot take out the whole family
They’ll still be here when I leave
Doing war with whoever comes against the team
Till all colors return to their king
that embodies everything
That Red Black and Green
A word from The King
He told me "The darker things seem the closer you are me."
